He keeps his eyes open at all times and draws inspiration in everything from architecture to zen gardening. He approaches design challenges with enthusiasm and confidence. He is getting closer to finding his"voice" all the time. TECHNOLOGYKyle is a computer enthusiast and PC 'power user' while also comfortable in Mac and Linux setups. He is an expert level user of Illustrator and Photoshop and advanced in Dreamweaver and InDesign. He hand codes HTML/CSS and writes clean, flexible markup. He designs for the web with a fundamental understanding of SEO and accessibility imperatives. He often recommends using wikis to help people organize information and communicate collaboratively. |
SCHOOLKyle attended Bradley University on a full academic scholarship. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2005 with a B.S. in Psychology. He also completed minors in both Business Management and Professional Writing and received Honors. His only formal college experience in the graphic arts was publishing a weekly comic strip in Bradley's student newspaper for three years. Kyle was a four-year athlete in both football and track + field at Highland Park High School. His senior year he was captain of the throwers squad and an all conference discus thrower. He was also class president his sophomore and junior years, a National Merit scholar, and he sporadically authored a mediocre comic strip for the HPHS student paper. FUNOutside of graphic art, Kyle enjoys seeing live music and goofing off with friends. He loves playing guitar, ping pong, and frisbee golf too. |
WORKIn 2007, Kyle led a three-man in-house creative team responsible for his employers branding, design, web, and general marketing needs.
